Bastrop Daily Enterprise (Bastrop, Louisiana) Thursday - 3 January 1946 page 9 EVELYN ELIZABETH BRODNAX WEDS WM GLEN MORRIS Of interest to their many friends throughout North Louisiana is the announcement of the marriage of Miss Evelyn Elizabeth Brodnax, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Ernest Edwin Brodnax of Bastop, Louisiana to William Glenn Morris, son of Mr. & Mrs. Shelby L. Morris, also of Bastrop. Quiet dignity marked the ceremony, performed by Dr. T. W. Gayer of Monroe on Wednesday, December 19, 1946, in the presence of a few intimate friends. Immediately following the wedding, the young couple left for a brief honeymoon in Texas. Before her marriage, Miss Brodnax was employed as a secretary by the Dixie Ordnance Plant in Sterlington and in the University Extension Office in Bastrop. The groom has just returned home after two & one half years overseas with the 1340th Engineers Combat Battalion. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
