Bio

Nels Anderson Funeral services were held for Nels Anderson at the Methodist church, Tuesday afternoon, February 11 at 2 p. m., conducted by Rev. Giles of PLeasanton. Nels Anderson, son of Margaret and Jens Anderson was born at Helsingburg, Sweden, September 6, 1866 and departed this life at his home near Litchfield, Nebr., February 9, 1941 at the age of 74 years, 5 months and three days. At the age of 22, he immigrated to the United States, locating near Davey, Nebr. It was while residing in this place that he met and married Miss Anna Marie Palmsteen. To this union ten children were born, eight of whom survive, namely: Olga Daski and Josephine Baker of Omaha, Nebr.; Ida Beeman of Lincoln, Nebr.; Anna Lang, Esther Smith, Grace Runge and Franz and Clarence Anderson, all of Litchfield, Nebr. Two sons preceded him in death. In the year of 1919, Mr. Anderson moved with his family to a farm near Litchfield, Nebr., where he resided until his death. He leaves to mourn his departure his widow, eight children, nine grand children, two sisters, Mrs. Hilda Hedglin of Boelus, Nebr., and Mrs. Hannah Johnson of Lincoln, Nebr., and one brother Emil of Lincoln and a large circle of friends. The pall bearers were: Henry Christensen, Charles Vian, Joe Cornford, Duane Dudley, John Davis and John Mazankowski. Interment was made in the Litchfield cemetery.
