Published in the Arcadia Guide, Arcadia, Nebraska, Thursday, August 7, 1952, Page 4, Column 3 Hall Shepperd Passed Away Friday Afternoon Leslie Hall Shepperd, son of Elizabeth and George Shepperd, was born in Otoe county, Nebraska, on November 22, 1884, and passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Virginia Marsh, July 25, 1952, at the age of 67 years, 8 months, and 3 days. As a small boy he moved with his parents to a homestead north of Comstock, later moving to Kent, and then to Oklahoma for one year. December 28, 1913, he was married to Rebecca Kay Hill of Arcadia and lived on a farm southeast of Comstock until they moved to Comstock in 1944. To this union five children were born, one son passing away at birth. He leaves to mourn, his wife, two sons, and two daughters, George D., Virginia Marsh, and Leslie H., of Comstock, and Doris Maresh of Ord; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Roy of New Raymer, Colorado, and Ben of Comstock; one sister, May Woodley of Osage, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Funeral services were held at the Methodist in Comstock. Burial was in Douglas Grove Cemetery.
