Vivian Alaray Pinkert, 89, of Lubbock departed this life on Nov. 29, 2003, in Lubbock, Texas. She was born on March 1, 1914 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Henderson Shelton and Georgia Caroline Walker in Milam County, Texas. The Sheltons moved to Lubbock, Texas from Goss, Texas. She married Frank Pinkert on July 13, 1940 in Tahoka, Texas. Mrs. Pinkert was a homemaker, a member of the Slaton Rangers Riding Club and The West Texas Church at the Barn. Those left to mourn her passing include her husband, Frank Pinkert of Lubbock; two sons, Larry Pinkert and L.D. Henderson, both of Lubbock, Texas; a sister, Ethel Medlin of Lubbock; a grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends for formal visitation on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at White Memorial Chapel from 6-8 p.m. Services have been set for Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at 10 a.m. at White Memorial Chapel in Lubbock with the Rev. Ted Currington officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Steve Pinkert, Greg Pinkert, Jody Pinkert, Cody Pinkert, Roy Pinkert, David Pinkert, Sid Crawford and Terry Henderson. Arrangements are under the care of White Funeral Home of Lubbock.
