son of John Henry Critser & Delilah Prather Moberly Monitor Saturday Evening, 22 July 1933 Former Moberly Boy Fatally Hurt John Critser, 12, Dies of Injuries Suffered in Fall From Viaduct at Keokuk Funeral Party To Arrive Here Sunday Fatally injured in a fall from a viaduct to the street below, John Critser, 12, son of former Moberly resident, died about 4:30 o'clock Thurdsday afternoon in Keokuk, Ia. The funeral party will arrive here about noon tomorrow and the body will be taken to the home of an aunt and uncle, Mrs. and Mrs. L.E. Critser, 1215 Wight avenue. It will remain there until 4 o'clock Monday afternoon when it will be taken to Grand Prarie cemetery north of Cairo for burial. A brief service will be conducted by the Rev. S.E. Haynes of Cairo at the grave. The boy suffered a broken leg and internal injuries in the fall, which occurred during a game with playmates. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Critser, who moved to Keokuk form Moberly about 12 years ago; a brother, William; three sisters, Maney Grace and Nellie Katherine of the home; and Mrs. Mary Jane Luder of Phoenix, Ariz., and the aunt and uncle mentioned. His mother is a member of the Prather family of the Cairo neighborhood.
