Critser Former Resident Of Moberly, Dies John Henry Critser, 74, former Moberlyan, died Friday in St. Joseph's Hospital in Keokuk, Ia., after a serious illness of 10 days. He had been in failing health for a year. He is survived by his wife, a son, William R. Critser, Keokuk; three daughters, Mrs. Nellie Harrison, Keokuk, Mrs. Maude McLain, Springfield, Mo., and Mrs. Mary Luder, Phoenix, Ariz.: 16 grandchildren; and a brother, Eli Critser, Moberly. Mr. Critser was born in Jackson County, Missouri, and lived in Moberly and vicinity 30 years before going to Keokuk, where he had lived the past 40 years. He was a Spanish-American War veteran and member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Keokuk. The body will arrive here late this afternoon and will be taken to the brother's home, 1215 Wight avenue. A graveside service will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Grand Prarie Cemetery, north of Cairo, by the Rev. Fr. P.C. Vatter., pastor of Immaculate Conception Church. A military service will be held.
