John Kepley married Susan Conley on 10/5/1896 in Polk County, Missouri. They had 1 daughter named Eula Kepley. In the 1900 census, John and his daughter Eula were living with his sister Elizabeth Waller in Polk County, Missouri. It is presumed that Susan Conley Kepley died in childbirth or shortly thereafter. OBITUARY John Henry Kepley was the son of James and Louisa Lyvona (Chaney) Kepley. He was born in Bolivar, Polk County, Missouri, on 2 August 1869 and died near Strong City, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, on 14 October 1941. He was a farmer. John married Josephine W. Art (Archer) Taylor, in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, on 3 March 1909, and to this union five children were born: Eula (Kepley) Vian (Correction to obit: Eula was the daughter of John H. and Susan Conley and not Josephine); Cleeta March (Kepley) Stamper White; James Henry, Jimmy; Virgil; and J.N. who was born on 31 March 1926, near Strong City, Oklahoma, died 22 April 1926. John Henry came to Oklahoma from Polk County, Missouri, in 1900. He homesteaded north-east of Strong City, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma, where he lived the remainder of his life. James Henry Kepley, son of John Henry and Josephine (Archer) Kepley, was born north-east of Strong City, Oklahoma, on 23 March 1914 died on 26 July 1929.
