Memorial services for David Paul Sims, 55, of Roswell will be held at 10am, Friday, May 14, 2010 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Matt Brooks officiating. David passed away Sunday, May 9, 2010 at his home. David was born March 1, 1955. His birth mother (name unknown) let Roscoe Sims and Harriett Montgomery Sowers in Roswell, NM adopt him. He enjoyed baking, cooking, fishing, camping and barbequing. David was a very outspoken Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved spending time with family and friends but most of all he loved his granddaughter "Tinkerbell". He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Chris Campbell, one sister, Carol Beth Huddleston Waldroup and one brother, O.D. Morman. David is survived by his daughter Tanya Sims of Roswell, two granddaughters; Brianna Michelle Law and one on the way, his companion; Kathy Kronauer of Roswell, three brothers; Samuel Sims of Big Springs, TX, Philip Sims of Irving, TX and Bobby Sims of Roswell, one sister; Mary Beckham of Roswell, his special niece; KC Beckham of Roswell, his cat; "Bear" and numerous nieces and nephews.
