Leonard Allen Baugh was the 7th son and the 8th child of Jesse Washington Baugh, Sr. and Monnie Geneva Bateman Baugh. He married Mildred Sue Clower on Nov 27, 1959 in Van Zandt Co. TX. They had 2 sons and 2 daughters. I believe this marriage ended in divorce. Jean (Bateman) Wallace Bateman Family History Source of Obituary, Van Zandt Newspaper dated Dec 8, 2009. Services for Leonard Baugh, 74, Canton were held at 1 pm, December 3, 2009 at Hillard Funeral Home, Van. Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Canton. Mr. Baugh passed away on December 1, 2009 in Canton. Leonard Allen Baugh was born November 30, 1935 in Van Zandt Co. and had been a resident of Canton most of his life. In earlier years, he worked in Athens at a trailer house plant, and later for Texas Department of Transportation. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse W. Baugh and Monnie Bateman Baugh, four brothers, Junior Baugh, Billy Joe Baugh, M. J. Baugh and John D. Baugh; and one sister, Opal Velentine. Survivors include his children, Gary Baugh of Fruitvale, Wesley and Kristi Baugh, Wills Point, Any and Rodney Partin, Fruitvale, and Leslie and Terry Allen, Fruitvale; brothers, Tommy Baugh and Devon Baugh; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Highland Cemetery in honor of Leonard.
