Wife of: (1) John Wesley Nesbitt, Sr., married Jan. 2, 1867, Crittenden Co. KY. (2) James C. Brown, married April 14, 1881, Crittenden Co. KY. Daughter of Rev. John D. Gregory and Melvina Jacobs-Gregory. Kentucky Death Certificate #13042. Died from Pulmonary Tuberculosis and Hypostatic Pneumonia. THE CRITTENDEN PRESS ~ June 15, 1923. Marion, Crittenden County, Kentucky. Mrs. Emely H. Brown was born August 17, 1848, died Feb. 26, 1923. She was a daughter of Mrs. Melvina Gregory, pioneer resident of Crittenden County. She was married twice. First, she was married to John W. Nesbitt. To this union were born six children, three of whom survive, Robert D. Nesbitt, Mrs. Henrietta Holoman and John W. Nesbitt, of this county. Later she was married to James Brown. Four children were born to them, Mrs. Maggie McEuen, Mrs. Jimmie Craghead, Rufus Brown, living and residents of this county, and Mrs. Russie Wing, deceased. Besides these she leaves one brother, Robert Gregory of Marion, and Mrs. Robt. Fritts of this county.
