Funeral services for H. A. 'Shorty' Moore, 77, of Colorado City, were held Tuesday at the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ted Spear officiating and the Reverend Aeron Oden assisting. Burial followed at the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home. Mr Moore passed away Sunday, December 8, at the Mitchell County Hospital. He was born December 4, 1914, in Nolan County. Mr. Moore had lived in Mitchell County all his life and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He owned and operated Moore Feed and Seed of Colorado City for 27 years. He married Dorothy Elizabeth Buckner on April 24,1939, in Colorado City. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Colorado City; a daughter. Fern Culbertson of Colorado City; a brother, Therman Moore of Colorado City; three sisters. Novice Faye Moore of Midland, Nora Viercgge of Big Spring; two grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
