The Beginning of the saga "The Lost Parks of Chariton County Missouri" Lemuel B. Parks was born Aug 16 1815 in North Carolina to John and Elizabeth (mnu) Parks. Through process of elimination, knowing you can not fit a square peg in a round hole, lacking any kind of paper proof, smacking into brick wall after brick wall, going with my gut instinct and using common sense, I know in my heart this to be true. From the History of Chariton County Missouri sketch on Lee Jones Parks, "Lemuel came to Missouri as a young man." If Lemuel had arrived with James and Peterson Sr. 1817-1819, by that incredible boat ride, wouldn't the author had said came to Missouri as a mere child. Lemuel is not the head of his household in the 1840 census. However there is a male child that fits Lemuel's age in John's household in 1840. A female that fits Sarah Ann Parks Littleton. One Nathan G. Parks is head of his household, married and with children. To be continued:
