Bio

The Columbus Telegram, July 20, 1972 Fred Bernt, 82, of Rt. 2, Osceola, died Wednesday in Behlen Hospital. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Andrew Catholic Church, the Rev. Edward O'Leary officiating, and burial will be in the parish cemetery with military rites. Body lies in state at Kepner-Roberts Funeral Home, Osceola, where rosary is scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday. A lifetime resident of Polk County, Mr. Bernt was a farmer, World War I veteran and member of St. Andrew Church. Surviving are his wife, Anna; six sons, and two daughters.
