Bio
CHERRY LOUISE WARD FAXON, 79, passed away into the arms of her Savior on April 21, 2010 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. She was born in Chiefland and was a retired operating room tech for Shands Hospital. She receive her training at Mount Park Hospital in St. Petersburg. She was a member of University City Church of Christ and the Association of Surgical Technologists. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Jones Ward and Debbie Horn Ward. She is survived by her brother, Franklin Ward and wife Cora Lee, sister-in-law, Donna Faxon Gillis, brother-in-law, Jack Waters and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Faxon, her sister, Pansey Ward and her brother, Eulee Ward. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 5:00PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala with Richard W. Howell officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 5-7PM. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
