Funeral services for Marjorie Jean Northam King, 82, of Lubbock will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2010 at Rix Funeral Directors with Brad Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. Marjorie died peacefully Thursday, April 15 at Heritage Oaks Nursing Home. She was born November 8, 1927 in Ropesville, TX as the first child of Maurice and Velma Northam. She was a faithful wife, homemaker, mother, sister, and friend. She is survived by two brothers, M.C. Northam of Temple and Dr. Ben Northam of Plano. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill King; a sister, Cherolyne Louise Northam Pruitt; and a son, John Michael Greenwood. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be made to the Children's Home of Lubbock.
