Audrey Leslie Howard, 85, of Amarillo died Friday, June 1, 2012. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Clay Brown, senior pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Audrey was born Feb. 2, 1927, in McLean to Raymond Leslie and Audrey May Howard. He married Sue Fiskin 53 years ago. Audrey graduated from Borger High School, attended Frank Phillips College and graduated with the first degree in agriculture engineering from Texas Tech University. He was employed by Employer Casualty Insurance Co. for 35 years until his retirement. He was a member of Masonic Lodge, a 33rd Degree Mason Scottish Rite, York Rite and Khiva Temple, where he was the past president of the Khiva Band. He was a member of the Optimist Club and a veteran of the Army during War World II. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelly Lynette Nunnally, in 1982. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Sue; two sons, Leslie Scott Howard and wife Gina of Venus and Greg Howard and wife Pam of Arlington; a sister, Hazel Ruth Howard of Borger; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
