Dale DeCalb Howard, 76, died Friday, October 8, 2010 in Fritch. Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Fritch United Methodist Church with Sherman Eastland, spiritual care giver at Odyssey Healthcare officiating. Cremation is under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. Mr. Howard was born on May 8, 1934 in Lefors, Texas and had been a lifetime resident of Fritch, Sanford and Borger. He married Marcia Winters on November 23, 1955 in Borger and was a member of the Fritch United Methodist Church. He was principal for 37 years for Sanford Fritch ISD. He was a member of Billy Dixon Masonic Lodge #1369 and had received the 50 year pin. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite and was a Shriner. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond & Audrie Howard, brother – Fred Howard, and daughter - Kathryn Adair. He is survived by his wife Marica Howard of the home, son – Rodney Howard and wife Judy of Argyle, TX, brother – Audrey Howard and wife Sue of Amarillo, sister – Hazel Howard of Borger, three grandchildren – Ashley Howard, Kendall Hendricks and Grayson Adair and two great-grandchildren – Kinsley and Cailey Hendricks.
