Son of James & Sarah (Naylor) Porter. Married Oct. 11, 1877 to Lydia B. Elliott. Obit in the Seneca, KS paper Nov. 10, 1930; Wetmore, KS paper Nov. 7, 1930. SABETHA HERALD (Sabetha, Kansas)- Wednesday, Movember 12, 1930- Page 8. WETMORE Tom Porter one of Wetmore's pioneer carpenter died suddenly at the home of his niece, Mrs. Will Cox of Corning Wednesday evening. Funeral service will be held at Rederick's funeral Home Friday afternoon. COURIER TRIBUNE (Seneca, Kansas)- Monday, November 10, 1930- Page 8. CORNING Tom Porter, who had been making his home with his niece, Mrs. Will Cox in Corning, died Wednesday night at 7:43 from infirmities of age. Undertaker Roderick, Wetmore, was called and took charge until Friday afternoon when the funeral services took place in Wetmore with burial in Barnes cemetery near Goff. Mr. and Mrs. Will Cox and son, Rollie, attended the funeral of Mr. Porter.
