Florence Carolyn Birkner McGuire, 98 of Woodville, Texas, passed away, Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Woodville Health & Rehab Center. Florence was born January 29, 1912 to William H. & Theresa Siebert Birkner in Manchaca, Texas. She married Beverly Howard "B.H." McGuire, Jr. on May 2, 1931 in Georgetown, Texas. She had lived in Woodville since 1945 when she and her husband, Mr. B.H. McGuire moved here to become the Superintendent of Schools. She is preceded in death by her husband, Beverly Howard "B.H." McGuire, Jr.,sons, Beverly H. McGuire, III, and James Patrick McGuire. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Tom & Carolyn McGuire; daughters & son-in-law, Mary Ann & Bill Philmon and Kathleen Moore; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and two step great-great grandchildren.
