(12/05/2019) THE PARIS NEWS, Mar. 03, 2008: “Iris Rebecca (Pat) Todd Helms, 92, passed away peacefully, March 2, 2008 at the Alterra Sterling House. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home will conduct graveside services 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Bill Draper officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, prior to service. She was the last surviving child of the seven children born to Oscar and Effie Todd. She was born February 10, 1916. She loved her family, friends, daily guideposts (daily bible reading), gardening and flowers. She was blessed to enjoy her gardening until the young age of 90. Her beautiful back yard was a blessing to many that passed by her home, especially her prize hollyhocks. Survivors who cherish her memory are her husband of 71 years, Clyde Helms, and their 48 descendants. They have five children: Clydell, Patsy, Carolyn, Stanley and Linda. Listed are their children and their spouses: Clydell and Steven Clark of Garland, Patsy and Richard Dunn of Brazoria, Carolyn and David Dunn of Burleson, Stanley Helms of Paris, Linda and Joe Burress of Marvin; grandchildren, Stephana and Mike Burkett, Lisa and Tim Rio, Chris and Sherry Dunn, Brad and Christie Dunn, Brian and Daniele Dunn, Tim and Holly Dunn, Leah and Brandon Whitney, Nicole and Johnny Eoff, Ali Burress, David and Teresa Helms and Gayla Rhoades; great-grandchildren are, Michael, Steven and Jason Burkett, Cody and Haley Dunn, Gage, Paige and Chloe Dunn, Grant, Gracee and Glori Dunn, MaKenna Dunn, Kane and Kendall Whitney, Eric, C.
