Bio

Leland K. Nelson, 95, of rural Fremont died Tuesday, April 13, 2010. He was born Nov. 30, 1914, in the family farm home northwest of Fremont. He had lived in that same home until moving into Shalimar Gardens in Fremont on Tuesday. All of his working years were spent farming that family farm. He married Martha Navrakal on Feb. 16, 1947. They were members of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. His survivors include: his wife, Martha; a son, Ted (and wife, Lucy) Nelson of rural Fremont; a daughter, Bonny (and husband, Robert) Lasho of Carlsbad, Calif.; eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.
