Bio

John Cvikel Dies At Age of 83 John Cvikel, age 83, pioneer resident of this community, passed away at his home in Waco at 5:40 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26. Funeral services were held at Aderhold Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Saturday, Rev. Roy L. Crawford officiating; burial in CMB cemetery. Born in Czechoslovakia, Mr. Cvikel came to America and this community when he was six years of age. He resided here until thee years ago when he moved to Waco. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Annie Skarpa, Mrs. F.H. Sustala and Mrs. W.O. Fritsch, all of Abbott, Mrs. C.T. Flanagan and Mrs. Millie Uptmore, both of Waco; one son, Andrew Turek of Thrall; 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Joe Maler, Alfonse Maler, Bill Skarpa, Frank Janek, Joe Sebik and Louis Sebik.
