Bio
Daughter of Emil, Sr. and Rose Mildred (Belsan) Tesina. She was a 1962 graduate of East Butler High School. Jan was united in marriage to Alvin J. Semin on September 11, 1965 at Dwight Assumption Catholic Church and their marriage was blessed with five children, Randy, DeAnn, Kay, Audra and Tim. Jan was employed at The Bakery and Liberty House both in Seward, where she made many friends. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ulysses, Altar Society and First Catholic Slovak Ladies #32. Jan enjoyed crafts, gardening, antiques, baking, traveling and spending time with her friends and family. Jan will be remembered as being very patriotic. Preceding Jan in death were her father, Emil Tesina, Sr.; her brother, Emil Tesina, Jr; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edmond and Lydia Semin; and her sister-in-law, MaryAnn Fiala. Jan is survived by her husband, Al Semin, Ulysses; her mother, Rose Tesina, Dwight; her sons, Randy Semin, Dwight, Tim Semin, Bee; daughters and sons-in-law, DeAnn and Kirt White, Lincoln, Kay and Cory Kudlacek, Eureka, MO, Audra and Paul Hoffschneider, Lincoln; grandchildren, Sarah and Jarod White, Ava and Ryan Hoffschneider; her siblings, Jim Tesina and wife JoAnn, Dwight, Rosmarie Tesina and Dennis Mehrhoff, Lincoln; sister-in-law Polly Tesina, Dwight; brother-in-law, Leroy Fiala, Seward; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
