Bio

Friday, December 4th, would have been the 100th birthday of one of the greatest men I have ever known. J.D. Long of Porter Springs. J.D. Long was the Principal/Superintendent of Porter Springs School when I started teaching there. If he told you something, you could take it to the bank. He was raised on what we call Ball, on property that I own. He was the son of Hal Long. They later moved to town into a house directly across the street from me. He married Lena Dickey, and they had four sons: Dickey, Tate, Jerry and Terry. Bio courtesy of Norma Dell Jones.
