Bio

Margaret Fletcher was born in Sep 1859 in Cannonsville, Delaware Co, NY, the youngest of six children born to Jonathan and Agnes Fletcher. She was the only one of their children not born in their native Scotland. She married Seth Chauncey Walley on 01 Oct 1875 in Cannonsville, Delaware Co, NY, the son of John Walley and Elmira Gardner. Seth and Maggie had two children: Carrie B. and Millard Clifton. Maggie died on 01 Sep 1921 in Cannonsville, Delaware Co, NY in 62nd year. She was originally buried in the Cannonsville Cemetery, Cannonsville, Delaware Co, NY, but her remains were disinterred and were removed to New Cannonsville Cemetery in 1963, during the construction of the Cannonsville Reservoir, under the direction of her son Millard Walley.
