Bio

Daughter of James and Anna (Cernohlavek) Proskovec. She was a homemaker and helped out in their grocery store and butcher shop. She married Frank Stanek and after he passed away she married Doc Horacek. Mildred enjoyed playing cards, family games, gardening, canning, baking pies and being with family. Mildred is survived by her daughter Frances Walters of Brainard, 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank in 1971 and Richard "Doc" Horacek, two sons: Ronald and James Stanek, one brother, Albin Proskovec, four sisters: Rose Kralman, Evelyn Sima, Lydia Eller and Helen Jergens.
