Rose was born in Nebraska to James E. and Anna M. Proskovec. In 1930, she was the oldest child living at their farm home in Skull Creek Township, Butler County, Nebraska. The 1930 US Census lists: James E. Proskovec, 49, head, farmer, b. NE Anna M. Proskovec, 40, wife, b. NE Rose A. Proskovec, 18, daughter, b. NE Evelyn Proskovec, 16, daughter, b. NE Lydia Proskovec, 14, daughter, b. NE Albin V. Proskovec, 9, son, b. NE Mildred Proskovec, 8, daughter, b. NE Helen Proskovec, 5, daughter, b. NE Rose married Friedrich Edward Krallman. He went by his middle name, and according to the 1955 Fremont City directory, the couple were living at 735 E. Linden Avenue, Fremont.
