Obituaries The Athens Review Bob Taylor Services for Bob Taylor, 83, of the Fincastle community were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Thompson Funeral Home of Frankston with J.A. Griffin officiating. Burial followed at Myrtle Springs Cemetery in LaRue under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Jacksonville. Mr. Taylor died Aug. 1, 2003, in Tyler. He was born July 8, 1920, in Henderson County. He worked as a foreman in the oil industry until his retirement. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his brothers, W.J. Taylor, Jensen Taylor and Wallace O. Taylor; father, Wallace Otto Taylor Sr.; mother, Marie Erwin; and stepmother, Mary Poston Taylor. Survivors include his sister, Eliene Harrison of Frankston; and hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Pallbearers included Dan Taylor, Bobby Taylor, Randy Alexander, Doug Garber, Frank Tucker, Eugene Taylor, Jim David Dickerson and Bill Harden. Honorary pallbearers were Barbara Tucker, Marla Garber, Dan Hunter, Preston Gamble, Mack Powell, Jimmy Lewis Dickerson, J.C. Redding and other nephews.
