Bio

FRITCH - Grace E. Windwehen, 60, Fritch, died at 9:42 p.m. Sunday, October 28, 1990 in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Borger Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Dub Leonard and the Rev. Bruce Ridling, pastors, officiating. Mrs. Windwehen will lie in state at Minton-Chatwell Funeral Home in Fritch until 2:45 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. A native of Payne, Ark., she had been a Fritch resident since 1961. She was a retired school teacher starting to teach in Fritch in 1968 until May 1990, and was a member of Classroom Teachers Association. She was a member of Missionary Baptist Church in Borger, and a graduate of West Texas State University. Survivors include her husband, Max of the home; one son, Ferrell West of Borger; one daughter, JoAnn Watson of Fritch; two sisters, Mary Dutton of Littlefield; and Barbara Almeda Sellers of Duncan, Okla.; and five grandchildren.
