Funeral services for Opal James Lambright will be at 2 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2009, in the Believers Bible Church in Pitkin with the Revs. Brian Thompson, Sherman Busby and L.E. Robinson officiating. Committal services will follow in the Occupy # 1 Cemetery in Pitkin under the guidance of White Oaks, Oakdale. Opal, 82, of Pitkin, entered eternal rest Wednesday, March 25, 2009 in her residence. She was born October 30, 1926, in Cravens to the union of Jim James and Lottie Deason James. Opal was a member of Believers Bible Church, owner and operator of Lambrights Grocery, Pitkin and the Marler Community Grocery for forty years, a loving mother, sister, grandmother,great-grand mother and friend. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. Her husband, Sheril Lambright, her daughter, Shirley Willis, her parents, six brothers, Woodrow James, Olice James, Willard James, Troy James, Coleman James, J. D. James precedes her in death. She leaves behind her loving family to cherish her memory, one son, Larry Lambright of Pitkin; three daughters, Earline Deters, Dianne Thompson both of Pitkin and Patricia Johnson of Alexandria; one sister, Ocie Lea Maricle of Sugartown; twelve grandchildren; twenty two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Sheril Lambright, Joey Willis, Todd Jackson, Jimmy James, David James and Scott James.
