JONES, MARY "JUNE" BURNS - age 77 of Louisville died Tuesday, February 11, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher and Vacation Bible school director. She was a past Director of WMU at the church. She worked for 32 years in the Blount County School System at Everett High, Porter Elementary, Laws Chapel Elementary, Mentor Elementary and for the last 20 years of her teaching career at Rockford Elementary. She was a member of the Blount County Retired Teachers Association and Delta Kappa Gamma MU Chapter. Preceded in death by: husband of 55 years, Dale L. Jones; parents, Joe & Carrie Burns; sister, Josephine Burns; brothers, William E. Burns and John Burns. Survivors include: son, James D. Jones of Louisville; daughter and son-in-law, Becky & Garry Tener of Louisville; grandchildren, Joshua & Jeremiah; sisters, Sue Porter of Mesa, AZ, Genevieve Carr, Winchester, TN, and Freda Fox of Sevierville. Funeral service will be at 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 13, 2003 at Beech Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Armstrong and Rev. Marcus Reed officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 14, 2003 at Ballard's Chapel Cemetery for the interment.
