Bio

Burtice is the son of Bennet Rose & Nancy Burney. He married Martha Jane Shoemaker, April 24 1865 and they had nine children: Mary Etta 1857, William Richard Bennett 1866, Abner Alexander 1869, Thomas Jefferson 1871, Oakley B. 1873, Ingram Fuqua 1876, Nancy Emaline 1877, John Townsend 1879 & Sara Rebecca Isabella 1882.
