Mrs. Thompson, Of Abbott, Last Rites Today Mrs. Rosa Chudej Thompson of Abbott died at her home on February 15 at 1:30 p.m. She was 67 years old and had been a resident of Hill County all of her life. Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 17, at 2:00 p.m. from the Czech Moravian Brethren Church, Rev. F. J. Kostohryz officiating. Burial will be at the C.M.B. Cemetery. Aderhold Funeral Home is in charge. Mrs. Thompson was born on August 23, 1888. She was the daughter of John and Rosie Popp. She is survived by her husband, Willie Thompson; two sons, Ernest J. Chudej of West and Louis A. Chudej of Wichita, Kansas; three brothers, Emil W. Popp, Henry J. Popp and Adolf L. Popp, all of Abbott; two sisters, Mrs. Mollie Baron and Mrs. Hermina Marek, both of Abbott; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Rudolf Barton, Joe Kameny, Joe Foit, Johnnie Chudej, Bob Thestos, and Robert Blaha. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 65, No. 41, Edition 1, Friday, February 17, 1956, page 1.
