Funeral services for Hal Langston, 68 of Palestine were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Doug Washburn, Eddie Langston and Renee Owen officiating. Burial followed at Still Waters Memorial Gardens in Jacksonville. Mr. Langston died Wednesday in Spring, Tx. He was born August 29, 1941 in Palestine. Mr. Langston served in the U.S. Navy, and was a retired construction worker and welder. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin M. and Nola Langston; sister, Bennie Langston; and inlaws, Charlie and Pearl Landrum. Mr. Langston is survived by his wife, Charlie Genell Langston of Palestine; sons, Terry Langston of Oregon and Eddie Langston and wife Jackie of League City; daughters, Bennie Langston of Oregon, Pam Sosa of Oregon, Renee Owen and husband Kenny of Spring, April Butler and Amber Butler of Palestine; brother, Mickey Langston of Houston; sister, Tammy Foster and husband Pat of Danberry; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; six grandsons and three granddaughters. Pallbearers were Eric Langston, Pete Owen, Kenny Owen, Andy Gonzales, Peter Faye and Ray Landrum. Honorary pallbearers were Russell Langston and Charles Norris II. The family received friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
