Bio

Donald R. Kovar passed away peacefully at Granger Villa Nursing Home Tuesday, March 16, 2010. The Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, March 19, at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. The Celebration of Life Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 20, at SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Granger. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donald was born in Taylor and lived in Granger for all of his life. He worked as a farmer most of his life and also did some carpentry work. He was also a member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Church. Donald was a beloved uncle and will be truly missed. Donald was preceded in death by his father Johnny H. Kovar, his mother Bernice (Pekar) Kovar, and his two brothers Ted L. Kovar and Herbert E. Kovar. Although Donald never married, he leaves behind his beloved companion Shirley Volcik. He is survived by his nephew John.
