Mrs. Emilie (Millie) Matus, age 94, a resident of West Rest Haven, formerly of Rt. 1 West, passed away Friday, May 1, 1987 at West Rest Haven. Funeral services were held at 2 p .m. Saturday, May 2, 1987 at West Brethren Church with Rev. Danny Husak officiating. Burial followed in West Brethren Cemetery. Mrs. Matus was born March 29, 1893 in Hill County, the daughter of Frank and Rosie Marek. She married Frank M. Matus in West, November 9, 1915. He preceded her in death October 28, 1979. She was a housewife and farmed with her husband. She was a member of West Brethren Church and The Christian Sisters and was a member of SPJST Lodge 54 in West. She is survived by two sons; Frank W. Matus of West and Louis J. Matus of Elm Mott; 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren. and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Jerry F. Matus Davie Lee Matus, Larry Matus, Marvin Matus, Robert Joe Kasik, Edward Gene Kasik, Harry Lee Kasik and Ronnie Louis Kasik. Aderhold Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
