Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the West Brethren Church, Rev. Henry Beseda officiating, burial in West Brethren Cemetery. V.F.W. Post 4819 will service as honor guards at the graveside. Mr. Marek will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to service. Survivors: His wife, Mary Marek of Route 2, West; three sons, Edmund F. Marek of Penelope, Frankie Marek of Route 2, West, Edwin J. Marek of 615 Rita, Waco; five daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Aline) Kaluza, Mrs. Albin (Leona) Kral, Mrs. Johnnie (Mary Ann) Hutyra, Mrs. Anthony (Shirley) Willenborg, all of West and Mrs. Charles (Helen) Smith of Waco; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Millie) Matus of Route 1, West and Mrs. Anton (Albina) Kral of West; 36 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Raymond Kral, Robert Kral, James Kaluza, Freddie Kaluza, David Hutyra, and Donald Ray Marek, grandsons, Raymond Parma and Larry Podsednik. Mr. Marek was a native of Abbott. He was born April 25, 1895. He was a retired farmer and a member of West Brethren Church. He was a member of VFW Post 4819 in West. He was an Army veteran of World War I. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary Marek; three sons, Edmund F. Marek of Penelope, Frankie Marek of West, and Edwin J.
