Wanda Marie Jerdin 1945 - 2010 Services will be held in the chapel of Hillcrest Memorial Park on March 20, at 2:00 p.m. for Wanda Marie Jerdin. Wanda was born in Amarillo, Texas on August 31, 1945 and passed away on March 6, 2010 in Bakersfield, CA. Wanda grew up in Texas with seven brothers and sisters. After graduating from Amarillo High School, she met Paul Jerdin who was serving in the Air Force. They married in 1964 and soon after, moved to California where they started their family. Wanda was a homemaker and loving mother to five children: Shelley, Jeff, Scott, Jennifer and Jerry. She loved kids, especially babies and was thrilled to be called "Grandma Wanda" by fourteen grandchildren. Cassadie, Alyssa, Meghan, Christopher, Crystal, Heather, Olyvia, Kayla, Devin, Kevin, Steven, Brooklyn, Roderick and Michael, always brought a smile to her face. Paul and Wanda divorced after twenty years of marriage, but remained friends until his death in 2007. Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, William and Ada Trevathan, her brother Wilford and her sisters, Elizabeth and Sudie. Wanda will be missed by her daughters, Shelley Schmitt and Jennifer Kline; her sons, Jeffrey Jerdin, Scott Jerdin, Jerald Jerdin and their spouses; her brothers, Dale, Aubrey, Rodney and Larry Trevathan and their families; and her fourteen grandchildren. www.bakersfield.com/obits Published in Bakersfield Californian on March 16, 2010
