Bio
Sylvester Greskowiak, 73, a longtime Crookston resident, died Thursday at Central Mesabi Medical center in Hibbing. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Father Donald Krebs officiating. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Stenshoel Funeral Home, where a prayer service is scheduled for 8 p.m. Wednesday. He farmed in Fanny Township near Crookston for many years and had been living in a Chisholm nursing home for the past year. He was a member of the Cathedral Parish, teh Knights of Columbus of Grafton, North Dakota, and the Eagles Aeries in Grafton and Crookston. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn of Crookston, six sons, Maurice and Robert both of Hibbing, Sylvester L and Duane both of Anoka, Ardell of Crookston and Marivn of Minneapolis; 20 grandchildren; one great grandchild; five sisters, Eleanor Rogalla of Crookston, Joanne Gibbs of Minneapolis, and Mary Lizakowski, Rose Klinski and Evelyn Thomson, all of Grafton.
