Bio

Clarence McKnight married Laura Carter on 16 October 1909 at Weatherford, Texas. C.S. McKnight, 83, was a pioneer Newcastle resident. He was a member of the Baptist church. He moved to Newcastle. Texas in 1911 when the town was three years old from Weatherford, Texas. He was a retired Grocer and feed store owner. Survived by his wife; one son - Clarence McKnight; one daughter - Mrs. Adele Parker; one brother - J.O. McKnight; six grandchildren. Obituary, funeral home records and census records show middle name as "Stratton" or "S.". Death certificate shows middle name as Cecil. World War II registration in Newcastle shows his middle names as (None). Obituary and funeral home records give date and place of birth as Terrell, Texas on 24 June 1889. Death certificate shows Texas on 24 June 1889. World War II registration records show Hill County, Texas and born 24 June 1890.
