Abilene Reporter August 6, 1999 C. L. O'Brien HAMBY - C.L. O'Brien, formerly of Big Spring, died Thursday in an Abilene hospital. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at the Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring with Dr. Claude Craven officiating, directed by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home of Big Spring. Mr. O'Brien was born in Big Spring, where he attended school and worked for the Cosden Refinery. He married Perla Faye Hunt on May 20, 1950 in Big Spring. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1952 until 1954. He moved to Hamby in 1974, where he was in the cattle business. He was a member of the Berea Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of Hamby; and three nephews, all of Big Spring.
