Bio

Edgar Lee Etier was the son of Amos Franklin Etier and Martha Jane Grant. He was one of 11 children born to their union. Two children died as infants. His siblings were: Annie Beththire, Mary Jane "Mollie", John Seaf "Bud", Bertha Sivera "Sis", William Cornelius "Will", Josie, Mattie, and Myrtle. Idella and an infant male died at birth. Ed married Mattie Cordelia Pitcock April 17, 1917 in Fort Worth, Texas. To their union they had 3 children. Their first baby died at birth. Edgar Lee Etier, Jr and Martha Jane Etier. After Mattie Cordelia (Pitcock) died in 1945, Edgar married Emma Beatrice Butler on Jan 10, 1946 but they later divorced. Ed Etier, Sr was very successful in the banking business in the Fort Worth, Tarrant County area.
