s/o Mr. & Mrs. Ed Moses Obituary provided by Frankie Randall . ============================================= The following obituary was published in the Herald Coaster on Friday, June 2, 1939: "J. D. Moses" Little J. D. Moses, 5, died Friday morning, May 26, in a Wharton hospital. He was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Moses, formerly of Rosenberg but recently of that city. He had been ill only a few days and his sudden death came as a great shock to both is family and friends. J. D. was born in Rosenberg April 30, 1934. He was a beautiful child, loveable and brilliant, and was a favorite with all who knew him. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church in Rosenberg Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. W. N. Purcell, pastor of the Wharton Baptist Church, conducted the services in the presence of a host of friends from Wharton and Rosenberg. Interment took place in the W.O.W. Cemetery in Rosenberg. The Wharton Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Deceased is survived by his heartbroken parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Moses and a little sister. * * * -------------------------
