ANNIE A. RUPPERT YOAKUM - Annie A. Ruppert, age 91, died on Wednesday, July 29, 2009. She was born in DeWitt County on Dec. 27, 1917 to Emil and Emilie Erdelt Friedel. She was a homemaker, member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and a member of the Altar Society. Survivors: son, Rev. Don Ruppert of East Bernard; daughter-in-law, Tina Otto of Edna; granddaughters, Kim Whittley of Edna, Monica Lee of Crosby, Deanna Webernick of Edna, and Valerie Novian of Edna; grandson, Jeff Ruppert of Yoakum; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: parents; husband, Herbert Ruppert; son, Wilfred Ruppert; and brother, Bill Friedel. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today, with a rosary at 7 p.m., at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home with Deacon Linard Harper officiating. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Yoakum with Bishop David E. Fellhauer officiating. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Shane Whittley, Clint Whittley, Grant Webernick, Kenny Friedel, Terry Friedel, and Larry Basham. Memorials may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Yoakum or Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard. The guest book may be signed at www.thielecooper.com.
