UPDATE: Photos of this entire cemetery were taken for me by findagrave volunteers Herb and Peggy Adams. Thanks Guys! Unfortunately there were several unmarked graves, and several graves marked only by crosses with no names. I am told there might be volunteers cleaning up the cemetery and will keep this site updated. But until then this grave is currently unmarked. 3/2/10 UPDATE: 8/27/11 (info shared with me by Shirley Ann Dekle Jourdan aka Annie. Thanks Annie!) Joseph Manley died at the age of 16 or 17 years, as a result of a very tragic accident. He was trying to break a horse that ran away with him. The horse ran into the pasture and Manley was so badly battered that he died several days later from his wounds. My Grandfather always referred to him as Manley. My grandfather was Daniel Colfax Chesser. He was called Colfax. Colfax and Manley were the only 2 children that Lucretia and William had.
