Obituary: Billie Joe Green Published: Longview News-Journal March 1, 2010 GILMER - Services for Billie Joe Green, 85, of Gilmer, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Gilmer, with the Rev. Todd Kaunitz and Dr. David L. Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Mr. Green passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2010, in Longview. He was born January 19, 1925, in Upshur County, Texas, to Eury and Pearl Langford Green. Mr. Green was a retired welder in the maintenance department at Texas Eastman, a member of First Baptist Church in Gilmer, a member of Bethesda Lodge No. 142 A.F. & A.M and a veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Green is survived by his son, Joey Green and his wife, Kelly, of Longview; daughter; Saundra Bork and her husband, Kent, of Garland; six grandchildren, Michael Henry and his wife, Michelle, Lori Armey and her husband, David, Danny Henry and his wife, Amanda, Cody Green, Tanner Green and Kelsi Green; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emily "Chub" Green; and brother; Thomas Cleo Green. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today, March 1, 2010, at Croley Funeral Home.
