Bio

W. Keith Shaw, 80, of Sullivan, died 2:45 a.m. Friday (February 26, 2010) in the Sullivan Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Celebration of Life services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Reed Funeral Home with Pastor Charliam Renner officiating. Burial with military rites will be in the Greenhill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Windsor FFA, the Moultrie County Food Pantry or the Sullivan Senior Center. Mr. Shaw was born May 6, 1929 in Sullivan, IL, the son of Murray and Bessie Elzy Shaw. Keith was a farmer, a maintenance man at Brown Shoe Company, worked at Switchcraft, operated a Mac Tool truck and most recently worked at Atchison Electric in Sullivan. Keith loved to hunt and work at the family farm. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Sullivan American Legion Post #68 and Ducks Unlimited. Keith married Mary Catherine Yaw on September 11, 1948 in Sullivan and she preceded him in death on November 23, 1987. He then married Polly Fair on December 31, 1990 and she survives. Other survivors include his daughters, Kathy (Thom) Risley, Marcia (Pat) Thompson, both of Sullivan and Stephanie (Lee) Campbell of Windsor; stepdaughters, Debra (Jerry) Butts of Murfreesboro, TN and Bonnie (Mack) Hall of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Justin (Sally) Risley, Shannon (Jessica) Risley, Rachel (Jeff) Elzy, Clint Thompson, Andrew (Beth) Thompson, all of Sullivan, Gage and Mason Campbell, both of Windsor; step grandchildren, Steven Evans, Jericho Evans, Christopher Hall and Heather Hall; great grandchildren, Ashlynd Risley, Emerson Risley, Hilari, Hayden and Hannah Elzy; sisters, Colleen Harchous of Sullivan and Jan Lemler of Key Largo, FL.
