Bio
Son of William C. Kniss and his wife Alice Beech Van Tine. Delber attended Monmouth schools. A meat cutter, Mr. Kniss worked for 18 years at the Fowler and Shaw market in Monmouth. Due to illness, he retired from his occupation, and moved from Monmouth to Galesburg in 1951. He was a member of the Victoria Methodist church. His marriage to Edna Ferrington took place in Monmouth, April 21, 1926, and she survives along with two sons, Master Sgt. Jack Kniss of the U.S. Air Force, Riverside, Calif., and Roger Kniss of Galesburg; one brother, Arlo E. Kniss of Monmouth; three granddaughters and one grandson.
