Bio

Celebrated 50th wedding anniversary in March 1973 at "Ye Olde Lantern" in Tuscon AZ. Arlo was made a substitute mail clerk in Monmouth under Postmaster Scott on 5 April 1921, and named special clerk the following year. Promoted to assistant postmaster of Monmouth on 1 April 1954, succeeding Frank A. Anderson. Member of the United National Association of Postoffice Clerks of Illinois, where he held various offices (2nd vice-president, 1st vice-president, secretary-treasurer).
