Obituary - Norfolk Daily News - 19 September 1985 Services for Florence E. McGinty, 80, of 715 S. Fifth St., will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22 at Grace Lutheran. The Rev. Martin L. Russert will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is from 3-9 p.m. Saturday at the Home for Funerals. She was born Sept. 28, 1904, at Scribner, the daughter of the late Herman and Lizzie (Wagner) Bentz. She was a 1923 graduate of Norfolk High School She and William J. McGinty were married on Nov. 5, 1923, in South Dakota. They resided in Norfolk and then moved to Texas, returning to Norfolk in 1935. She has resided here since. She was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary and an honorary member of Grace Lutheran Ladies Aid Society. She was also a member of the 40 and 8. Survivors include one son, William L. McGinty of Newman Grove; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert H. Bentz of Norfolk, John Bentz of San Diego, Calif., and Earl Bentz of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Daniell of Stanton and Mrs. Elizabeth DeVore of Norfolk. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, who died Jan. 23, 1961, two brothers and three sisters.
